What is a brow lift surgery?

A Brow lift is the surgery that treats the wrinkles of the brow and forehead and improves the position of the eyebrow.

A dropped eyebrow is one of the earliest signs of time, in men as well as in women, and this makes the eyes seem smaller and the upper eyelids seem bulky. The wrinkles on the forehead and between the eyebrows not only make the person look older, but with a permanent harsh and angry-looking face.

How is
a brow lift done?

With the patient under anesthesia, and through some very small incisions that remain hidden by the scalp, a micro camera that provides an adequate vision for the resection of the wrinkles of the forehead and the elevation of the brow is introduced. This camera is known as an endoscope, and is nowadays one of the greatest advances in facial plastic surgery.

Thanks to this camera or endoscope, Dr. Paulo A. Escobar will be able to have access to the structures of the forehead that produce the wrinkles and the fallen position of the eyebrows.

Brow Lifts are also done in men

In men with alopecia, a careful resection of the skin of the forehead must be performed, leaving scars on the eyebrow or on the lines of the forehead that remain adequately camouflaged.

Just a Brow Lift, or Combined With Another Surgery

This surgery can be performed at the same time with the eyelid surgery. Hence, the Brow lift is not only indicated to improve the aesthetics of the look, but it can also be a functional surgery when a dropped brow affects the vision.

At the same time, the Brow lift can be performed together with any other facial rejuvenation technique, such as the rhytidoplasty or facelift, or fat transfer.

Advantages of the Endoscopic Brow Lift

In comparison to other more aggressive techniques performed in the past, the endoscopic Brow lift does not injure the nerves that carry the sensibility to the forehead, having a much more comfortable and faster recovery.
